Sync your devices
Keep phone and laptop in step directly — over your own Wi-Fi, no cloud — carrying what Google can't: your areas, history, provenance and people.
Sync over Wi-Fi (QR)
Go to Settings → Sync between my devices → Sync over Wi-Fi.
- Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi.
- On one, tap Show a code (it displays a QR).
- On the other, tap Scan a code and scan it.
- They merge both ways in seconds — history, areas and all.
If your Wi-Fi blocks device-to-device traffic, turn on a phone hotspot and connect the laptop to it — the QR sync works the same way.
Or move a file
- Export a ledger file / Import a ledger file — optionally password-protected. Share it over any app (WhatsApp, email, a folder) and import it on the other device.
- Automatic folder sync — point both devices at a shared folder (OneDrive/Google Drive, detected automatically) protected by a passphrase; it syncs on open.
How conflicts are handled
- Your history is never lost. The integrity ledger is append-only — a mistake is answered with a correcting entry, never a rewrite. Merging two devices can only add facts, so your commitment history and score are always complete.
- For the current details of a task (title, time, area), the most recent edit wins. If you edit the same field on two devices before they sync, the newer edit is kept.
- Google sync follows the same rule — last edit wins; deleting on one side deletes on the other.
The sync chip. The top bar shows amber Sync ("changes not yet synced — tap to sync") or green In sync. It matters most on the Progress screen — an un-synced device shows only a partial score, so sync before you judge the number.

Schedule conflicts
If two commitments overlap, Today shows a gentle banner ("N overlaps ahead — tap to see them, keep or change, your call"), and the task form warns when you're double-booking. It's always advisory — Saara never blocks you from committing.
