Google Tasks & Calendar
Two-way, automatic sync. Your Saara tasks go to Google Tasks; your events go to Google Calendar. Everything goes device → Google directly.
Connect
Go to Settings → Google Tasks sync.
- Phone: tap Connect Google → choose your account → approve.
- Desktop: paste a Google desktop client ID + Client secret (from Google Cloud Console → Credentials → OAuth client → Desktop app), then Connect Google (opens browser).
"Google hasn't verified this app"?
While Saara's Google verification is in progress you may see this screen when you connect. It's expected — nothing is wrong. Tap Advanced, then Go to Saara (unsafe), then Allow. Your data still goes only device → Google — never through us. The warning disappears automatically once Google finishes verifying the app.
Day to day
- Sync now — pull & push immediately.
- Auto-sync — on open, and in the background (~30 min) while connected.
- Check for duplicate copies — a one-time cleanup if an older version pushed repeat copies. It counts first and only removes Saara-created copies you confirm — items you didn't create in Saara are never touched.
- Disconnect — stop syncing (your local data stays).
Two-way, last edit wins. Creates, edits, completions and deletes flow both directions. If the same item is changed in two places, the most recent edit wins; deleting on one side deletes on the other.
Don't see your Saara task in Google Calendar? A task lands in Google Tasks, which shows in the Google Calendar app's "Tasks" layer (or the separate Google Tasks app). A Saara event shows in Google Calendar as a normal event.
